I started following the Galveston diet to educate myself on what my body needs as I started perimenopause. Was a game changer for me after some tweaks to what I focused my eating on.

Your weight is completely fine and healthy for your height. No need to lose.

Come back in a decade. Menopause is a whole different ballgame than peri.

I was someone who lost my pregnancy weight, even after having a baby at 40, pretty easily. Maintained the same weight for decades. Then BAM! Menopause.

This is what works for me! Hit the point at 40 I needed to do that. Now in 50s, hit menopause (full on) and gained 5lbs overnight. No amount of work helps (even the same low carb/high protein) as before. About to try HRT to see if a tiny bit of estrogen assists with the process (all of my doctors think It may help)

Just get away from UPFs, HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), all the crappy additives, reduce salt, and maintain a good exercise and sleep routine.

This. I gave up ice cream and lost 5 pounds in one month. I'm 53 and am trying to lose 11 pounds overall.

I'm pretty sure giving up cheese-its for weight loss is not a secret, nor is it particularly disciplined.

That your husbands will leave you all en masse? I see these posts all the time, but there can’t be this many women who care so much about this, right?

You have to put it in context. The woman who are not so worried don't post.
