I have a few sweets that I "allow" myself without restraint. Surprisingly, sugar free chocolate pudding with whipped cream is something I like a lot and is an under-100-calorie dessert. I will eat a snack sized piece of candy and stop at one. I will eat two biscoff cookies with green tea. I stopped sugared coffee and tea (and flavored creamers) entirely and that kind of re-set my palette to not have sweet coffee every morning to begin the day.

Sometimes, I do eat whatever I want, in moderation. Like 1/4 cup of ice cream and chocolate sauce. Or 1/3 of a cheesecake factory piece of cheesecake.

I have this category system in my head: alcohol, dessert, salty junk (chips, fries). I try my best to not have more than 1 most days. Of course there are some days with all, and some days with none. But I try to be mindful enough to say "hey do you want those chips now, or do you want a glass of wine tonight?"

I’m not a sweets eater other than ice cream. Recently I’ve reduced my intake by only having three teaspoons instead of a bowl and I’m fine with it as I just really need a taste.

I disagree with this, except for the fruit. Artificial sugars make my sugar cravings even worse.

Agree. Soda of any sort is bad. Natural sugar is better than artificial sweeteners. But soda still one of the worst things you can consume.
And no need to buy expensive snacks from amazon. Normal foods will do: veggies, nuts, fruits.

I love chocolate- and sweets but specifically chocolates.
I am trying and finally somewhat succeeding in having just dark cboclate.
The key really is not to have it in the house.
But I have a house full of people
and theres always sweet goodies and chocolates around.
I tried dates for a while too.

Hot herbal tea. Get one of those Celestial brands one that have a “treat” profile (eg Gingerbread Spice). Brush teeth right away after eating.

After 50 years on this earth what I finally figured out is I like sweets. Not capable of stopping. The solution for me is to make sure I have options in my house to satisfy my sweet tooth and not to try to suppress it. Frozen berries, individual packages of gummy bears, fruit, 100 calorie yogurt bars, Iced coffee with Truvia (skim milk), and things of that nature.

Don’t buy them. Don’t carry the means to buy them.

Eating a lot more protein, not having sugar in the AM. Including in your coffee! Having subs around the house (super dark chocolate, mints, hard candies). Water! Lots of water.

Whole 30 is pretty good for this. Read the book, not just websites.

If you don't want to do that, the Lindt bars that are like 90% cacao give a little sugar with a lot of chocolate and it's hard to eat more than one square at a time. Melt it for a couple seconds.

Like PP, I can’t keep certain sweets in the house or else I’ll eat them all and regret it afterward. Especially the sugariest kinds, like Haribo and Twizzlers and Sourpatch Kids.

I buy gummy vitamins, which give me a sugary burst and might be kind of healthy? I look forward to a daily probiotic gummy, multivitamin gummy, and vitamin D3 gummy!

Putting the carbs down has helped me put the sweets down. My cravings have diminished.

Eat a pickle! The salty vinegar kills the sweet cravings.
