What the hell is AA?

I don’t this is a troll post. I’m AA and attended high school in Virginia. My high school sent a large number of AA students to ODU. Now, as adult, I see many, many friends sending their AA kids there. Thanks, to the PP who sent the actual stats. Makes sense.

ODU has great outreach for student who otherwise might not get to college at all, they really try to support VA kids. We toured and applied, but ended up at another state school.

We’re an AA family who swayed our DD to choose ODU over Hampton University which is one of your more prestigious HBCUs.

I’m sure there are many AA families who may decide a diverse student population brings different experiences and choose that over an HBCU.
