We have a three panel sliding door with no dividers; the middle part is the door. It looks nice and lets in a ton of light.

We just replaced our old French doors with a slider and I was surprised by how much brighter it is. French doors are fine, but they typically don’t have a screen and require so much interior clearance to open, that I prefer the sliders. You can get higher end sliders - depending on your opening I would look to see if you can get over sized sliders (essentially two sliding doors and solid glass on either end) or the stacking ones.

You must also consider your space. A French door needs to have the room for the door to swing open. No furniture can be placed in the swing area.

Get multiple French doors. Put several set together to form a row of doors.
