When I was a teen I bought tons of different kinds of gum to try to learn how to pop it. I gave up. It’s so my personality but I never learned how. I feel like a failure as a baddie

Chewing gum at all is crass. I am shocked that people think it's socially acceptable to do. I'm 45 so I guess I'm old but in any event it drives me crazy and I was taught growing up to never do it in front of people.

OP: I’m 100% with you. The other one is people who chew loudly. Often mouth open, slurping and lip-smacking. I’ve changed tables at restaurants because of it (which I will readily admit is weird).

In the lobby of a health club. Waiting for my son. Even moved to a different seat and I could still hear her across the lobby. So disgusting.

She might have been flirting. It's a lesbian thing in some circles to do that to signify. I won't go into detail as to what they are signifying though.

Chewing cud?

You have an oral fixation which is an emotional issue. Solve that and your fatness and gum chewing problems go away.

Guys tend to like women with oral fixations though.

How passive aggressive.

NP. You obviously don’t understand the definition of passive-aggressive. 🤔

There. There it is again. LMAO,.

NP. You really are using “passive-aggressive” incorrectly, fyi.

I think that poster is too far deep into their Friday night alcoholic stupor to understand. They just keep saying the same thing.

I have that syndrome where certain sounds make me leave the room, gum is one of them and clicking of pens too

I don't know, OP. My husband is loud. I don't like it. He's the one unfurling a cough drop during a classical music concert, or whispering loudly during a speech. He's both hard of hearing and oblivious to social niceties. Thank God he hasn't added gum-chewing to his roster of noises!

I agree with you, OP. It is crass and disgusting.

I only allow myself to chew gum in private. When I do chew, I look like a cow chewing her cud, and I do automatically start snapping and cracking without even thinking about it, so I just have to limit myself to never chewing with others around.
