Same. Growing up, my mom rarely pushed things on us to do, but having all my kids by 30 was something I distinctly remember her encouraging, and I did it.

My mom had all three kids by 30. I am the youngest (46), and she had a master's degree (she's deceased).

My parents were in their early 30s and married five years.

My Mom and Dad were 19 and 20 when I was born. They were wonderful parents, I had a very happy childhood and my sibling and I are both highly educated and successful.

I was born in 77, and my parents were 31 and 35 when they had me, but most of my friends' parents were a bit younger. I am also from the Midwest, where I think people generally marry and become parents younger than people on the coasts, even today.

In the US, the average age of a mother giving birth for the first time is 27 years old (compared to 21 yrs in 1970), and the median age is now 30.

Still, the comparative number of births between the 20-something and 30-something group is about equal (~46% for both groups), with the remainder of babies born to under 20 (~4%) and over 40 (3.7%).

My Mom was 27 when I was born and my Dad was 30. I was their 5th child. I had my 2 kids at 36 and 38, dh is the same age. My siblings all had kids before 30, so I'm an outlier. Most people I know had their first before 30.

I know a few. Got pregnant & married in college. Still together. in their 40s/50s.

ETA at least I’m not often mistaken for my dad’s wife because THAT would really suck. I inherited a few distinct features from my dad, so at least people can see we are related.

I'm 34 and I cannot think of any friends' parents that aren't over 65, so definitely a minority.

H has a 21yo from a previous marriage and we have a 2yo together. H also looks young for his age. So when H, 21yo, and 2yo are together, they look like a family. Especially since they're all Hispanic and look very similar, while I'm a super pale blonde, and DD2 got literally none of my genes.

I think of 25-35 as the normal/average range for having kids. So quite a few.

I had mine when I was 28 and 31, but DH was over 30 for both. So both of my kids would count.

My mom was under 30 when the youngest of us was born, but my dad was just over. So I guess my sister and I count too.

My grandmother was near 40 when the last of her 7 kids was born (not counting at least 2 miscarriage that we know of). People started having babies young back then, but they didn't stop when they hit 30!

Difference between my oldest and youngest siblings is over 30 years.
