This new tournament says fields are in Loudoun/Fairfax. WAGs also uses those fields so will be competition to secure them first, or more likely, Super Nova already has lined them up and wags will need to move towards Richmond. Hmm, which fields in Fairfax and Loudoun could be secured this far in advance (hint: probably not county controlled fields)

LB mentioned at WAGS that "Dave has secured VRSC fields for next year"

That mortgage ain’t gonna pay itself lol… and it’s hard to keep up if you’re buying out directors, players, spots in a league, plus all the renovations they’re doing at that place. All the while, they don’t pay the refs. Funny how that works.

Loudoun Soccer parents getting real salty about their chicken nugget trailer and Lowes parking lot bar.

Loudoun been around since 78 and has ECNL and college connections. They’re also aiming for MLS next. Revolution is like Manchester City, loaded with money, no track record. And needs to buy off anything and everything. U do the Math and keep talking about a chicken nugget trailer if it helps you deal with the cognitive dissonance.

HIGHLY unlikely that LS/NVA gets MLSN. Closest club that was able to pull that off and keep ECNL girls is BSC but LS doesn't have the same pull and has way more competitors.

Thoughts? Are they really trying to compete with WAGS, is WAGS going down or do people really dislike WAGS organization that much? I don't see how the "Super Nova Cup" will be any different than WAGS, its all the same fields and teams....elite must really need $$$

Who cares?

+1000 you don't get a say in which tournaments your kid plays in anyway. The club decides.

Elite taking over would be a big mistake.

Anonymous wrote:Not so. They have a whole person dedicated just to WAGS. Look at their management team on their website

WAGS is a charitable organization so all this is publicly available on form 990. The tournament is their main revenue ($800k in 2022). Elite Tournaments is a paid contractor that manages the tournament for $160k. When you pay that much you get a dedicated person.
