For schools that allow self-reporting (which is many of them), most will require the official score report sent if the student is accepted and chooses to enroll. So you don’t want to fudge - they will check - but you don’t have to submit the official score report with the application.

Don't you have to submit at least two test dates of test scores for the college to superscore?

Superscore has been around forever. At least 30+ years. It’s not a negative thing.

My child had a 35 on ACT and then took it again 3 weeks later at school for same 35. He did superscore to show a 36/36/36/34. Don’t think it mattered to report 2 scores and even more so with consistency and short timeframe.

They want their published rates high, don’t think having 2 test dates is an issue. Wouldn’t want to have to say more though ideally.

My ds is in the same scenario (10 point difference) and he did decide to superscore. I think schools care about their published test averages so I think they might want to have that higher score, even if it's only higher by a smidge.
