I love the Diva Cup. I find I have zero stink with it, unlike previously when I used tampons. The seal is so much better that no odors escape, and no leaks either. I empty mine twice a day and usually don't wear it overnight either.

It's not dry cotton, it has a smooth coating (they call it something along the lines of smooth glide or comfort). And it's smaller than a tampon with an applicator, so it's easier to get it in when dry.
So you stick it up you with the smooth plastic on it? Then what, the plastic melts away? And does it have a string? I'm assuming you still need to be lubed a little as opposed to just ramming it up there dry. Tampons with gentle glide can still hurt a little if it's dry in the vajayjay.

I've never tried OB, so many people here have suggested it, I must give it a try. I hear the PP on the dryness, even a normal tampon can be a problem without the "gentle glide" applicator.

I noticed the shortage it too (tried a couple of CVSs in Bethesda with no luck). I finally found the larger OB size at the Giant.
