Medicare is for elderly.

Medicaid is for the poor and has asset qualifications.

Both programs are currently going insolvent in the next decade - even without this program. So no people did pay in all that much over the years.

Even if this passes good luck finding reputable people to be in house aids.

Medicaid does not pay for elderly care. Its a waiver program called long term medicaid. Different income requirements.

Medicare ALREADY COVERS in-home care. There are criteria to meet, but it already covers it.

Or is this about nursing homes? Medicare already covers medical services in nursing homes. And Medicaid covers the nursing homes themselves. If the supposition is that you shouldn't have to spend down everything to qualify for Medicaid, that would no doubt be popular, but I'd have a huge problem with it from a policy perspective.

But, to repeat: Medicare already covers in-home care. So, what's the proposed change?

We could start by taxing the hell out of the 400 people at the very top, and deporting that illegal immigrant Elon Musk with all expatriation tax applied.

Stop clutching about your taxes. We need more taxes, but not for most of us. Start telling your representatives to tax the super rich and corporations. Look at income inequality. We are becoming a two tiered society, and that never ends well for anyone.

I don't love it. There is no means testing for Medicare. I'd rather see Medicaid made available to more people than at present.

Yes, she wants to give first time home buyers money to increase home ownership, at the same time proposing this medicare thing to keep seniors in their homes....where are all these homes coming from?

It could be funded by making a stipulation that anyone who is under the program becomes a DNR/DNI and is no longer eligible for surgery.
