People are forever mistaking apathy for malice. I’ve come to realize that as people get older, they get personally offended by the fact that OTHER people do not care as much as they do. OP, I think you tried to communicate what you wanted just fine, but they didn’t care.

This. I get OPs point but for the extra $2 or whatever I'd just order the extra pepperoni. They probably didn't pay attention to the directions from OP.

I asked them to put all the pepperoni that they would have used on the entire pizza on one side only, and the other half would just be cheese.

They gave me a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza.

How should I have ordered this? I did talk to a person because the online pull downs won't allow this configuration.

Help me communicate better.

Agreed! Also, the pepperoni on one half will be a problem for vegetarians as the oil will spread throughout the whole pie.
