+1 I've gone to the one in Rockville Town Center numerous times.

Cracker Barrel.

Oh no, I’d way rather go to First Watch than Cracker Barrel! Cracker Barrel is inedible. First Watch actually has some solid options.

+1 My 75 year old parents are big fans of both, and I’ll take FW hands-down any day.

Yeah there are basically two groups there: post-church groups, or post-game parents and kids. I don’t see many young couples, for example. It’s not a “trendy” place by any means. But it’s an improvement over some other chains so I don’t mind going.

I love that they give you a carafe of hot coffee at your table. And the steel cut oatmeal is really good.

I don’t get this at all. Most of their items are more current —avocado toast, superfoods bowl, power wrap, and only one or two old fashioned basic breakfast items. Whenever I’ve been there are very few people over 50 dining there.

It’s a chain so it’s not super trendy or unique but grandmotherly is more Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel. First Watch is nothing like them.

So basic and blah. the coffee is awful.

Enjoyed eating at the one off of Muddy Branch. Nicer than a diner, but not upscale, for sure.

What is a "churchy vibe"? Were people praying? Speaking in tongues? Singing hymns?

This is the oppositer of their menu. Waffle House has super basic food. First Watch is upscale, trendy, and somewhat annoying.

+1 I think people are getting confused on what First Watch is. They are too new to be run down. Opposite of basic.

A very odd take. They are upscale. Not rundown. Certainly betten than Pancake House. Now I may agree on the food.
