This same exact thing happened to me last year. We're even the same start and end weight!
I had a low back injury that gave sciatic pain. Couldn't lift weights or do anything but slow walking for almost 6 months. And I was only able to do about 4000 steps a day without extreme pain. I just had no appetite between the pain and the lack of movement so I ate a LOT less.

But I wouldn't go back to it. Once my injury "pretty much" healed, I'm back to my normal activity levels, some weights, and my normal eating and my weight is back at 150. I'd rather weigh a little more, feel good from the exercise, and not have the back pain than go back to that debilitating pain - even with the welcome weight loss.

It's the food, OP. You are eating less and therefore weighing less.

Is the seven miles step count or you are taking dedicated walks with the dog for that long?

I don’t eat a ton - no breakfast and lately rarely have a full dinner. Lots of water and very little alcohol.

I do walk around 7 miles a day.

Yes, you lost muscle, more than 7 pounds of it also, as you would have gained some fat in the meantime as well. Example - you lost around 15 pounds of muscle mass and gained 8 pounds of fat, so the scale reads just 7 pounds less.

You need to eat more. Alcohol is fine, just not with meals.

You walk too much also. Try speed walking 2-3 miles instead.

Op - not walking the 7 miles because of exercise. Walking a dog who is very high energy and also running after kids. It all ends up adding up to around 7 miles a day.

Take dog to park to run free. Wear a pedometer or FitBit and check that mileage?
