HR. I have done it once to get my 14 many years ago. It wasn’t too bad. 2HR guys came to meet with me.

I get an email from our divisional organization head telling employees that a reorg is occurring in a matter of weeks and that our SF 50s are in he process of being updated with new supervisors and job titles/descriptions. Fun times. No warning and no input

In my agency, a team lead is a GS-13 position that is advertised as a team leader. GS-14s are traditionally managers. There are GS-13s that are not team leads. It is an issue because some people who are senior will just make themself a team lead when they don't have the authority. Team leads are non-supervisory but may have signatory authority, etc.

To add, the reason was "we're the same grade and I only take direction from a manager". Of course management, instead of having balls to tell them they need to follow the team lead, instead nuked the team lead role altogether. So it was a net loser for me in the end.

Depends on whether you have supervisory duties or not. I have been team lead many times over my career w/o supervisory duties (I.e. special projects or task force). But now I am an office director with supervisory duties and I hate it so much. Do they have SF-50 form?
