I’m a little wary of glass because one of our Philips Avent glass bottles got a chip at the top. We didn’t see it happen, so it’s possible we fed our baby from a chipped bottle before noticing it. I mostly breastfed so the bottles were not excessively used. I don’t think it was dropped. Perhaps it happened in the dishwasher.

We use Dr browns glass and pigeon glass. Although we switched to gulicola because pigeon had reports of lead in the design/print on the bottle. TBH same with Dr Browns but it's the only bottle my baby doesn't gulp down.

Yes if sending to daycare you can't use glass bottles there..

The silicone sleeves can retain water in the bottom ring - sometimes warm or hot water can remain and then when you tip it down it spills. Also a pain to get on/off personally.


Why do some feeding specialists despise Como Tomo? Ours recommended the brand.

I used glass for my now 2 year old (lansinoh) and plan to use glass again for my baby expected in a few months.

I did use silicone for my firstborn but I didn’t really know better.

This also depends on what bottle your kid will take - some are fussy and you may have to trial and error.
