I was told this a few years ago and not sure if it’s true or not but was told by a reliable person. Having parents pay for coaches gas is illegal. That is a transaction of funds for business work and is not tracked by the club. Therefore doesn’t come up in taxes and if audited they could be screwed. I’m not the smartest on all these things so I’m sure some of you will understand it better than I do. From my understanding though all transaction of funds for gas/food should be coming from the club, that way it is tracked.
