Taxing unrealized capital gains and tips (Trump first proposed that) will never happen for legislative and practical reasons. As they all do, candidates propose dumb things to appeal to dumb people. Also, the bipartisan immigration bill was killed by Trump because it would have given a gift to the democrats. But dumb people forget that.

Keep in mind that very conservative Republican senator James Langford led a bipartisan immigration bill that had a real shot at passing until Trump put a stop to it because he didn’t want it to pass during an election year because Biden would get credit. The attacks on him from the far right were ugly as he himself has stated publicly.

I am a Republican voter and I would not vote for the type of Republican nominee you are proposing. The never Trump movement is always talking about remaking the party, but you don’t seem to consider that the majority of Republican voters don’t want your type of nominee. There was a primary election and your type of nominee lost overwhelmingly.

I truly hope this is a minority. I know we’re a racist, hateful, ignore-facts-ar-your-own-peril country, but surely this ideology can’t be gaining momentum. However, my GenZ economist son who studies history says all signs point to the US losing its superpower status in his lifetime. With Trump saying global warming is a hoax, and us losing our fledgling green energy industry to China, it may be the nail in the coffin. Sad.

Who cares about “international alliances” and Ukraine? I care about this country. You and other selfish never Trumpers want to let Harris wreck this country to satisfy your dislike of one man and your fantasies of playing world leader. The President has a lot of executive authority, which this administration has used to open our borders and handicap American energy production. We cannot survive four more years of the far-left agenda.


Be prepared for breadlines. With tariffs on food and no immigration, legal or illegal, goods will skyrocket. Also, deportations of millions of people is costly. It will cost us $114B to deport them and we’ll also be short the $96B that illegal immigrants pay in federal, state, and local taxes. With Trump’s tax breaks for the rich, average Americans will pay for it too.

OP, I agree with your sentiment but the problem is you cannot overcome the level of ignorance and lack of critical thinking skills that is displayed in the bolded above.

The steadfast refusal of such a large swath of the voting public to think for themselves cannot be overcome.

We just have to hope that less of them and more of us make it to the polls.

The House could go either way, but unless the Democrats pull off a miracle in Montana they will lose the Senate. So anybody who brings up the possibility of eliminating the filibuster is unrealistically hopeful or fearful.


Even if you are correct, what about two years from now? Democrats could take full control of the government in the midterm elections. Their agenda is too dangerous and left-wing to risk voting for Harris and saddling our country with their terrible policies. The first thing they want to do is pass their so-called “voting rights” bills that eliminates voter ID, mandates ballot harvesting, and allows the DOJ to take control of elections in Republican-led states under the guise of “discrimination”.
