And you, please, don't comment until you can be encouraging.
The first pound can be very significant. It was for me. I weighed myself regularly every morning for a long time to know that my weight fluctuates and the range within which it fluctuates on a daily basis. When that weight goes down a full pound below the normal range, especially when one has begun a specific weight-loss effort, one knows it is a genuine pound lost and the beginning of a weight loss journey. OP likely knows what her normal weight is and therefore is confident this is an actual lost pound.
I'm looking forward to celebrating OP's second pound.
Op here - thank you! I appreciate it! And yes this is what I mean - over a pound lower than the lowest range of my normal variation, weighing myself at the same time every day. Not "I lost half a pound after I went to the bathroom!"
I agree that it's not much but the beginning of a downward trend is nice!

Weight loss begins with the first pound. Is OP supposed to wait until she's lost 5# to say she's lost her first pound?
OK a pound is not real weight loss. It's just a normal fluctuation of weight due to water. I go to bed at 130 and wake up at 129. Did I lost a pound? No, it's just pee. Tonight I'll weigh 131, did I gain 2 pounds? No, it's just water.
