We use the powder room all the time instead of going up or down a level to a "full bath." I am glad we have a vanity.

I don’t mind a pedestal sink in a powder room. I have a little covered basket that holds 2 rolls of toilet paper and it’s been fine.

I hate our pedestal sink in our powder room- which was renovated right before we purchased 4 years ago so I feel guilty/wasteful ripping it out. No where to put spare toilet paper, etc. So bathroom always looks gross to me to have it on the ground ( in one of those toilet papernholder racks)

NP but we have a closet in our powder room with empty shelves, so yeah, we went with a pedestal.

We just redid our powder room and I opted for a vanity for the storage. I store toilet paper and an extra hand towel in the drawer. It’s a small, floating vanity that we had custom made and we’re very happy with it.

I also like the look of a standalone sink like this, but didn’t work in our space:

+1. I have the same stuff in my powder vanity drawers. My kids use the powder room to fix their hair before school, so we need a spot for hair products. Also, I like to keep reusable small towels for guests instead of hand towel because we often have many guests at once, so I need a surface to put them on.

Never a pedestal sink. I hate them. Vehemently. With more than the passion of a thousand suns.

This. Pedestal's suck.

For a powder room, get a pedestal sink.

Put in a floating shelf or a mirror cabinet for a small amount of storage.

You don't need to stock your powder room with much, maybe just an extra TP roll. The rest can go into storage in one of the other bathrooms.

I'd rather have the space than feel crowded in a small powder room by a bunch of stuff I rarely use and that I already have stored in other parts of the house.

I have a pedestal sink and wish I had a place to store extra rolls of toilet paper.

Even if you do not need feminine products, it's always kind to have a small amount for guests.
