Not really. Ghalib has been pretty anti-LBGTQ+, and has posted some pretty racist and anti-BLM memes and other nonsense. He also endorsed Tudor Dixon in 2022 for Governor and Hamtramck went 79% to Whitmer.

Hamtramck has been losing businesses, which was once the center of the Detroit Polish community. Perhaps Ghalib should be focusing on improving his city. The City of Detroit is doing much better than Hamtramck these days.

Dp. You are not understanding the “lesser of two evils” calculus that many of us are making.

One candidate is literally part of the administration handing out weapons, vetoing U.N. resolutions, and enabling a war that is killing our brothers and sisters. They may have good words to say, but their actions say something else.

Another candidate may be saying bad words, but is not actually participating in killing our friends and family. He is a wild card and it is a possibility that it could get worse and it is a possibility it could get better.

It’s a possibility we have to take and I think deep down a lot of people would make a similar choice.
