OP - If there's ever a time where the right "fit" (an overused word on this forum) should be paramount for you daughter, this would be it. You don't need a consultant with pull at a particular school; you need somebody who is knowledgeable and direct about what schools might be good options based on the requirements/priorities you tell them. It may be one or both of these individuals, but if I were you, I would ask them specifically about their experience advising families with kids in similar situations.

Fusion might be a great choice. It starts in 6th, so you wouldn't be able to repeat 5th, but after a 6th grade at fusion you could decide to repeat 6th at a mainstream school if you thought appropriate. Bonus is that 6th is more often an entry year and if you get the headaches under control, a different set of schools might be appropriate.

We used a competitor two admissions cycles ago and it was $5k. We ended up at Big3 HS. This is obscene, in my opinion, but to each his or her own.
