My only went through a phase of wanting a little sibling (and occasionally also asking for an older sibling). We said, "Families come in all shapes and sizes. Our family is a 3 person family." Repeat - they get over it.

My only has never asked for a sibling or cares. My sister is horrible to me. Siblings are only good if its a good dynamic. Be grateful for your one.
