Open the windows while cooking and get a better exhaust hood. I can’t imagine policing my spouse’s food choices like this.

He does run it and he tries to quickly clean the stove, pan and his plate. But each time I can still smell the eggs. I am very sensitive to the cooked egg smell.

I would be upset if my spouse asked me not to cook a totally normal breakfast food in my own house. It’s not like he’s frying tuna. 🤣

If the house is so nice, find another place in it to work when he fixes breakfast. This is completely unreasonable. Poor guy’s not allowed to have scrambled eggs in the morning, lol…

My coworker microwaves shrimp everyday and stinks up the whole office. I don't want to complain about it though so I just leave for a half hour.

Not reasonable. Ask him to rinse the dirty pan and plates and leave the vent running after he cooks until you start work - there shouldn't be any "lingering" smell at that point. If there is you have a vent problem, not a husband problem.

It’s unreasonable. He is doing a normal kitchen thing in a kitchen.

When my DH started working from home he set up shop at the kitchen table. Then proceeded to complain if any normal kitchen activities or sounds happened during the work day. Even the dog drinking from its water bowl. We quickly encouraged him to either adjust expectations or find a better location in the house to work.

Every day, since it bothers you, would be excessive. But one day per week I think you have to live with.

Put a dab of vicks vapor rub under your nose until it's gone.

Get an air purifier for your kitchen. A small one will work fine. Crack 2 windows on either side of the house for 10 minutes. After that, make a spray bottle with white vinegar and water and spray the air a bit. Vinegar absorbs smells really well and the strong vinegar small dissipates after it's dry.

I am sensitive to smells but this feels a bit too nitpicky to me. You can be working harder to manage resoling the smell instead of not allowing him to eat a very common food he likes.
