What would you wear with it? Any way to add color?

You could add a wide patent belt in whatever color you like (burgundy?) with coordinating dressy heels.

Or velvet. Something like this would look nice.

OP here. that's really pretty. I wouldn't have found that on my own. Thank you!

Also this dress makes the model's boobs look like they reach almosf her hips. I highly doubt you have the figure to pull this off, if even the model cannot.

OP here. I noticed that but it was as close as I could get in a quick google. Mine's actually a different dress, similar style but floor length, and the top doesn't bunch as much. More flattering IMHO.

Originally I was going to wear a non-black dress, but it's less formal. The latest communication from the bride was emphasizing black tie and with work travel I won't have time to shop and get something altered.

But the men can wear black tuxedos? There is nothing wrong with a black dress at a black tie wedding. It isn’t Victorian times where only widows wear black ffs.

You seem like an unhappy person. I’m sorry for you.

FYI- I recently wore this style dress (halter top, pleated on the bottom) to a wedding and there were three other women there with the same style dress! Seems to be very popular right now.

In black?

Luckily, we all had different colors, but yes, mine was primarily black

I would not wear a belt in some color. I would wear as is with beautiful earrings and bracelet.

Just make sure you jewelry/shoes/clutch compliment each other.

Happy to give thoughts if you tell us what colors are usually flattering to you, time of year of the wedding, and any other details.

As long as your accessories are sparkly or shiny (like a satin clutch), you’ll be fine.

It's a wedding, not just a black-tie event.

The last wedding I was at was black tie and plenty of guests wore black (including all the women at my table). The dress is beautiful op.

Unless you are the MOB or MOG, black is fine.

Love this! Would look great with gold heels, dangly earrings, and a burgundy clutch.
