It's not like she named him and asked us to flood his business with 1 star reviews.

People come here because it's a quick and anonymous place to vent - and sometimes get helpful feedback. Or funny feedback. (Or mean and nasty feedback.)

Sounds interesting. OP, you shouldn't have such a bland palate.

Wow, you married well. Period. If these are your problems, suggest keeping them in perspective. Seems you are, but good grief I am the primary cooking our family and will sometimes make a god-awful error. But mostly have introduced our wider family to cuisines and flavors they are pretty fond of.

Sounds exactly like something my DH would do. He loves adding spices to dishes that don’t go and ruining meals.

I’m the one who cooks in our house. I don’t even mind.

He is European, actually, and usually a pretty great cook. I think he has been trying to be extra healthy lately and probably googled it and saw the health benefits. I told him of all the things he could have added ginger was probably among the worst flavors he could have picked But he got up and recooked me a whole other batch so I cant be too mad now that he fixed it

Hee! This reminds me of the time my husband made penne al' arabiatta (which he's successful made before) but on this occasion, he accidentally bought maple-flavored bacon. He thought, "hmm, well... it'll probably still be okay.
Reader, it was not. 😉
Lesson learned.

My husband put ginger in a split pea soup once, with the same result. Perhaps we are sisterwives to the same ginger fanatic.

My husband is one of the smartest people I know.

Except when it comes to food or colors.

I would trust this man to be the President but NEVER with a paint swatch or dinner for anyone but himself or to meet very basic tasteless nutrition needs temporarily for me or my kid.

Welcome to the club.

I've never understood people who rush to DCUM to complain about their spouses. Ok OP let's all laugh about how bad of a cook he is and how he messed up food you were looking forward to! I don't know, it just bothers me.

I’ll give him points for trying something new. But that certainly didn’t sound appetizing.

Also consult with a personal injury attorney (but only after you get divorced so it's not taken out of joint marital assets) because you are be entitled to compensation for pain and suffering.

GINGER OMFG It's pasta puttanesca not pumpkin spice latte penne!

Lollll. That sounds like some crap Half-Baked Harvest would make
