Protein shake with high fiber, high vitamin content. Google supergut or look on Amazon. Cannot recommend highly enough. I wasn't hungry at all in the AM, but I can take this shake and then force down a snack in the afternoon. Made a huge difference for me.

Also Alka Seltzer both regular and the fizzy tabs for days 2-3.

On Wegovy and using the Weight Watchers GLP1 setting to track protein/fruit/veggies and water. Very helpful.

Honestly for most days for me It's tough to get enough of each (aiming for around 150g protein and 30g of fiber) and if I do, I really don't need any other food until maybe day 6 or 7 when a little hunger comes back

I would highly, and I mean highly, recommend one of the GLP shakes, I use Supergut. 15g of fiber and 15g of protein. That's how I start every day and it really accelerated things for me because it gets the metabolism moving in the morning.

It's pretty regular for me. Day one -not much impact. Day 2, tired. Day 3 feels like a mild hangover. Days 4,5 no hunger but no symptoms. Day 6 and Day 7, feel like I can eat a little bit of whatever I want and not overdo it, without trying at all. Avoid the greasy fried foods. I would say the side effects would need to be 500-600% worse before I would consider not taking it. It's pretty mild and so, so worth it. I'm on 12.5, in month 10 and down 40lbs. Almost exactly a pound a week and very consistent.

DP. Yet what is a glp1 shake vs, say, a protein shake?

Use an app and track your intake every day to ensure you get enough of the essentials and run a deficit according to your plan.

Stick with it and if you choose to weigh yourself daily know that your BMI and actual mass are different numbers. Don’t be a slave to the scale.

Do not test discouraged or impatient.

Also, get enough fiber! (Yeah I know I mentioned that twice, guess why!)

Good luck to you! It worked for me, it works for many, and will likely work for you!

Good advice. In addition to fiber consider adding Miralax or something else. And get a scale that shows BMI and fat versus muscle mass. Your actual weight is not the most important number.

Also, protein, protein, protein.

Be careful with fried foods. I previously had some issues digesting very fried foods but once I started Zepbound, my tolerance got very low. I can eat a few fries but I was traveling and ate a churro - ugh. My stomach felt awful for about 6 hours.

This might be the only time you have ever in your life understood what others say when they say that being on this is like turning off the 'food noise'. For many of us, that is real. Waking up, not hungry, going to bed, not hungry. Making yourself eat will feel odd. But if you don't eat you will regret it. Eat smaller meals, and stay away from sugar since it takes a longer time for your tummy to empty and it can make you feel really crummy. Oh, and try to stay on the lowest level you can for as long as it works. Good luck1

I love Oikos Pro yogurt and good culture cottage cheese with strawberry. I eat those every day. Sometimes twice.

I've been told it can be helpful to take a walk after taking it. Not sure if that helps or not.

Anonymous wrote:I find the effects and side effects are stronger on the second or third day after the shot. I threw up a few times on these days especially if I ate something spicy and you need to stop eating at the first sign of fullness. I also got a feeling of my mouth feeling coated after eating anything with a lot of fat, like cheese. These have gone away.

I feel tired from it. I have been on it for seven months but could not get any for two months so I noticed having more energy then. However, I seem to be sleeping mote deeply.

I started at 2.5, went up to 5 and then 7.5. That was too strong for me; i had trouble eating at all. Too extreme. I back down to 5 and plan to stay there. You don't necessarily need to titrate up.

At first I still had sugar cravings but was able to eat one cookie ot a small ice cream and be satisfied. Haven't been able to do that for years. At the moment I have no sugar cravings at all. I don't think about food in the same way. It is miraculous and I feel better and look better than I have in years.

Drink water. I found I didn't want to drink as much water so you may need to force yourself.

I’ve been on Zep for nearly two months. The side effects have been rough some weeks and non-existent for others. For me, when side effects happen they start 36 to 48 hours after the injection and then feel like a bad stomach bug for a day or so. When I went up to 5 mg, my NP added a Zofran prescription.

Stock up on Pepto, LiquidIV and protein shakes. Make sure you are doing plenty of strength training too. Good luck!
