Mine couldn't spend $100 at Sephora and would hate the jewelry but could at Hot Topic (I know) or Old Navy. I would go with the crisp bill the PPs have suggested.

Not a purse — they don’t use those.

I think even the girls that don’t wear makeup like Sephora and ulta as many of them are really into good lotions and anti-acne stuff and shampoo. I think even the male-identifying trans kids I know get stuff there.

I agree with this. All types of girls can find something at the Nike store. (Or, similarly, a Dick's Sporting Goods store, which has Nike attire alongside a ton of other stuff.

Ordinarily, I would 'second' the Starbucks gift card, but my three teens are currently boycotting so if you don't know the girl's politics, I'd avoid it for the time being.

Sephora gift card, target gift card, 5 year journal, nice costume jewelry (the thin little beaded bracelets are nice and easy to wear), hair accessories, tasteful body care and lotions, a book, sports stuff if she is in to that (shirt, bag), small cute purse, fun socks.

They like a lot of stuff so not too hard.

A 14 year old is in HS. I really don’t police what my teen chooses to buy with gifted money or gift cards. That is what they are for, to buy things they wouldn’t ordinarily get.

Well, OP will obviously use her personal knowledge of the kid she's giving a gift to to decide if they are a good fit for Sephora or Amazon. She asked for suggestions and they've been provided. My 14yr old would be delighted with anything on that list!!! You do you

Kendra Scott necklace would be appreciated by most girls that age. Clothes are a bit harder as sizing plus kids have different styles.

I’m also a huge fan of books I can probably think of some by my girl that age is very into fantasy genre novels. That’s a good age for even something like Dune. I always just get the Barnes and noble gift certificate in case they have it or it’s not to their taste.
