They will be disappointed when someone offers $100

I get that it is a solid piece and probably cost that much when they bought it, but is there even a market for these? And who in their right mind would spend so much on used furniture unless its some rare piece?

I will give her $200 if she delivers.

" this late 2nd century B.C.E. sculpture might be a replica due to its similarities with the Aphrodite of Capua in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples which dates from the late 4th century B.C.E." onn her aphrodite ad. Ya think?

If it's a rare piece, wouldn't they mention the details?

I wondered about that as well, had a chuckle at how they capitalized Antique. But the wood inlay is gorgeous, the grain of the wood is gorgeous. The ad puts me in mind of people I've heard say "it's an old antique" in all sincerity (shows you the kind of area where I grew up). You'd think anyone who forked out 18 grand would know that info but maybe it's what the trophy wife was left with when the old bugger died and it turned out she got the furniture but no money.

It’s actually a high quality reproduction. You can tell by the modern screws and key hole that isn’t right. Even if a real antique these can be bought for $1000-$2000 at auction short of it being last owned by Marie Antoinette.

It’s a little ornate for my taste, but it’s also not an antique.

I think it's a handsome piece of furniture, but I wouldn't pay that much for it because I couldn't afford it.

I see JC Penny. Haven’t been there in 30 years.
