Depends which zip code in DC. 20032 and 20008 are not the same. Also extracurriculars can reveal a lot. There's also more to underrepresented than race...sex, intended major, immigration history, first-gen, geography (a school in New Mexico or Idaho isn't going to have a lot of DC applications compared to a school in MD or NC).

They will surely do well at liberal arts schools like Bard, William and Mary, etc

William and Mary OOS with no rigor?

Not without rigor. 4.0 with zero APs is not getting into top 50.

Where can this kid get in?

Weighted GPA?

What's a JR? Junior year GPA?

4 APs through Junior year or senior year?

pre-calc in junior year? That's normal for college applications.

Private school?

This OP seems very unserious.

Why are you commenting on this thread if you don’t even know what the JR stands for?

High 1400s is 99th percentile. I'd say that puts the applicant near the top of the pile for most non-Ivies.

Not without high rigor and strong ECs

It helps that schools’ only info on race now is zip code level

What do you mean by “unserious?” What would make the post more serious?

- not OP, just curious

No way. Public universities want to see the highest rigor. I’d rule out UVA, UMich, UMD and UNC.

Who goes to the Ivies from JR?

Probably not unless an athlete, child of major donor, or very underrepresented group. Even then, admissions wants to see rigor so it's unlikely. Plus, would a kid who chose the path of least resistance even do well at an ivy? I could see applying to one that has a really amazing department that matched a kid's special interest, but ivy for the sake of ivy isn't a sensible strategy.

Yes, ivys are not at all "hard" for almost all majors and have massive grade inflation like most colleges, maybe more so
