+1. I’ve had one like this one for years and it works great. Used it on my metro commute, use it on bike commute, take it with me when travel. The only “bad” thing about it is how well it keeps temperature, so have sometimes to open it up for drinks to cool. Also like that it’s 16 oz, so not too huge

It has never leaked, in all the many years I've been using it, even when upside down or rolling away on the floor. I can't find it on Amazon any more, otherwise I'd add a link.

I have never even considered that and have always carried it separately. Am I the outlier here??

+1000 I've tried many and the Zojirushi models are the best. Coffee stays piping hot all day, and I can literally store the (closed) mug upside down in my work bag and it won't leak.
That might be the case but have you opened it up to clean it? All of those types of mugs with super complicated mechanisms get mold and bacteria stuck inside unless you take it completely apart after each use.
Yeti is a whole lot let complicated and easy to clean. Keeps my coffee hot for 2 hours and that's really all I need.
