My DD has something like this too, but she has keratosis pilaris on her cheeks. Where on your son’s cheeks is the redness (my DD’s is lower cheek vs cheekbone) and are there any subtle bumps if you touch the area?

There was a kid in my school growing up who was blond and blue eyed, didn't seem particularly shy or anything, but always had red cheeks above the jaw line sort of in the jowl area. It was just a healthy glow and quite attractive. If that's what he has, it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Same! It made me so self conscious. Consult with a few derms if possible to see what they suggest. Mine went away with age (also mid 20s) but I would have loved a solution earlier

He doesn't have Rosacea

Is it Keratosis?

My dad has rosy cheeks and some bumps from that on her face. And arms.

Are you guys Irish? Some Irish are just rosy cheeked.

Both sides of the family are mainly Irish and English. My sister has flushed cheeks a lot of time, and I kinda did too when I was very young.

I struggled with rosacea for many years. What works for me is glycerine only face soap, natural sensitive moisturizer (innbeauty). When it's bad I put ivermectin topical which is the main ingredient in the prescription soolantra rosacea topical. Also keep hair out of face when sleeping, take a shower before bed, change pillowcases every week, wash with sensitive detergent.

NP. My teen son has very rosy cheeks too. He is extremely fair skinned and dark haired. We are Irish and his complexion completely matches his red haired father. I think it is just his skin type.

Same for me, though I didn't do lasers. I just use prescription medication and it's been at bay for decades now.

Try Soolantra--it only takes a little to get rid of the redness. Get it from Derm.

second the soolantra! I have roseacea and this worked wonders in just a few weeks.

Azelac lotion, from Sesderma, is great for rosacea-prone skin. Ask your derm first, though, don't know if it is right for young skin.

Have him mix some concealer into moisturizer or buy a slightly tinted moisturizer. It just cuts down the redness a little bit doesn’t look like makeup up
