Air quality issues was probably a bigger factor to stay indoors. If no A/C both in and out will be uncomfortable.

I hope you are not really suggesting that you need your middle or high schooler to have a cell phone so that you can remind them to sit in the shade when they are outdoors on a really hot day? I think they'll figure it out!

And yes, tomorrow will be worse, so you can remind them tonight, and/or put a cute note in their lunchbox which their peers will all appreciate.

You must not have tweens or teens, or yours are something else.

I have one of each! And when they get hot they either move to the shade or stay in the sun and be hot. Either way, they survive. And no one is outside for very long.

Sure let them enjoy tomorrow's heat. Fool.

Sorry my kids aren’t idiots that need to be reminded that it’s hot out as they sit outside experiencing themselves. They have this thing called common sense which yours apparently are lacking.

Tweens and teens figure this out. And you know who does if they don’t? Teachers, Staff, and Admin. They don’t need a phone to know to move to the shade.

Check the weather before school, give your reminders at home and then move on. They’ll be fine.

You are a saint for trying to rationalize with this helicopter mom who is clearly refusing to unclench.
