For the non bougie people who can't afford a hotel room that is over $700 a night, we all loved YMCA Estes Park.

Totally reasonably priced with lots of activities that were included or really affordable. It borders Rocky National Park in Colorado set on 860 acres. We went fly fishing, indoor and outdoor rock climbing/high ropes adventure, played tennis, hiked, etc.

I would love it if other people listed places that were under $300 a night.

Seriously, my kids loved the Howard Johnson’s in Boston 😂. Didn’t even have a pool but they still talk about the breakfast.

My kids liked the Hyatt Kauai too but it was not a favorite -- my oldest was 12 when we went and the waterslide was too tame for him.

+1
We sent our kid to the Kids Club for a morning and he had a great time. It gave my H and I a chance to have some alone time and enjoy a leisurely lunch. We also got upgraded to the club level and it was awesome...snacks and drinks available for most of the day.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Kauai a few times before kids and imagine it's great with kids too.

+1. The flights and jetlag are no joke though.

I was thinking the same thing... Great Wolf Lodge, Powhatan resort in Williamsburg, Embassy Suites, Residence Inn, Hampton Inn. You name it, my kids probably loved that regular hotel pool.

Right? All a hotel needs is a pool and my kid is convinced it's the best hotel ever.
