Also they need to try again with Shopaholic. Whatever that…isla Fischer thing was not that

One more—Greg Iles Natchez trilogy also seems like it should have been made into a streaming miniseries

I want all the Rivers of London books by Ben Aaronovitch made immediately and I want to be consulted on the casting.

Ben has authored a bunch of Dr. Who series so he knows the people to call to get the ball rolling. Counting on you Ben.

The Informationist by Taylor Stevens - originally I had cast Angelina Jolie as Vanessa Michael Munroe (I read this 12 years ago).

"Vanessa Michael Munroe deals in information--expensive information--working for corporations, heads of state, private clients, and anyone else who can pay for her unique brand of expertise. Born to missionary parents in lawless central Africa, Munroe took up with an infamous gunrunner and his mercenary crew when she was just fourteen. As his protégé, she earned the respect of the jungle's most dangerous men, cultivating her own reputation for years until something sent her running. After almost a decade building a new life and lucrative career from her home base in Dallas, she's never looked back. Until now."

These are all pretty highbrow - which I do not necessarily associate w “easy to convert into movie”…

OTOH, while reading and generally disliking Fourth Wing, I remember thinking that the book would make a much better miniseries. There is plenty of action and dragons, and the visuals could help gloss over the plot holes and general silliness.

I don't get to read adult books much these days, but the kids books Hippo at the End of the Hall and The Menagerie definitely should be made into movies.

I'm surprised that the Gabriel Allon books by Daniel Silva have not been made into a movie (or series of movies).

The Bernie Gunther series by Philip Kerr.
I believe Tom Hanks has options to make them, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Wasn't this in the works at some point? I seem to remember Leo DiCarpio was supposed to play HH Holmes. That was years ago though and I haven't heard about it since, maybe the plans for the movie were dropped.

I didn't enjoy the book, but Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale seems tailor-made for a movie.

Secret History by Donna Tartt (and this book is 100x better than The Goldfinch)

Love Songs of WEB DeBois

To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris

I would hate to see The Secret History made into a movie. It’s too dear to me.

They tried in the 90s/2000s, with Gwyneth Paltrow having the rights at some point, but it never panned out.
