APS projected 700 more high school students by 2033, and that was before MM passed

Current high school is about 100 below projections, I would guess private school is still a release valve.
Elementary school projects are about 1300 over projections for student population 10 years from now!

The population growth is largely in South Arlington. N Arlington growth has stabilized for the meantime.

APS had planned for comprehensive boundary changes for all schools (elem through hs). But covid got in the way of those plans. We should probably expect boundary changes within a few years for the high schools to shrink the W-L boundary once again. W-L max capacity was supposed to be 2700. Of course the tech hs when finished help reduce enrollment at the three comprehensive high schools.
Arlington Tech only helps if it actually pulls students, it’s a bandaid that may fail.
MM means student growth will continue apace, so WL at 3000 in 4 years. I’ll come back and post then to show it happened.

When the class schedule was snail mailed to all students, and direct communication was typically by phone via the office secretary then to the counselor or admin, it was a smoother process for all involved. These issues are not unique to any one school.
