I do. It think it is weird at all, but I once suggested something similar and the other family felt it was too weird/inappropriate. It actually took me a minute to figure out why, as I just viewed the dad as another parent. And I am friendly with the mom. Some couples are just more clingy/needy.

+1 I've met up with other dads and our kids who are friends. DH has done the same with both other dads and moms. We have 3 kids so we have to divide and conquer.

BUT you said he's flirty with you. If you mean that he's hitting on you, then don't do it. None of the dads I've met up with hit on me. If I get a whiff of impropriety, then I steer clear.

I once went on a long road trip across several states with a dad and his kid and my kid, who are good friends. It was for a travel sport and we obviously had separate hotel rooms etc. It was not weird at all.
