Writing on the wall, KSAC is basically just closed, the county doesn't have money because they have to pay teacher pensions, but it's unpopular to say so.
Different pots of money but county wastes a lot of money.
For some reason I had already suspected that the KSAC was closed for the foreseeable future. It is an expensive facility, but I also am starting to wonder about the RSFC facilities. Construction was supposed to start right after the Rays season ended. They closed the outdoor rec pool. However, the last few times I had been there I didn't see any construction either. They were still using the outdoor rec pool for lessons.
What does it matter? I thought you found a better pool to train your daughter.

The majority of the slots are at SSAC but not all. See other thread for the discussion on this:

No, some are, some aren’t. Our group was split in half with one option at silver spring and the other up county. Other groups are all over the place.
That's partially true - I was referring to "total RMSC KSAC". All the groups are scattered, some more than others. But if you look at the big picture and take a total all the training slots for all the KSAC groups, the majority these slots are at SSAC. Some groups have more than others and some groups have no SSAC slots but taken in total, there are more SSAC slots than any other location.
I tallied this up and did the math already but you can do it yourself if you want and let me know if you think I'm wrong.
There are more groups than the training groups and many of our kids are in lower groups and perfectly fine with it. If you are only looking at the training groups, then ok.
