Except the elective is likely to be something the kid actually wants to take.

If the kid has no interest in the subject which will be obvious because they are not taking the next class level, it’s merely a GPA grab. You would be forcing the kid to endure this class again for very little gain.

The Maryland State HS Graduation requirement includes 2 years of WL. This is, therefore, also the admission requirement for UMD
