That’s not even true. Their tuna Niçoise salad doesn’t have cheese or nuts. Many of their sandwiches contain neither. They are all labeled clearly on the menu. I hope they stay in business. You had many options, you were just picky or entitled or both.

I don’t eat cheese or nuts, yet eat there regularly. They have many options with neither. I also appreciate when places are honest. If I were running a restaurant, I wouldn’t want the liability either.

MFA parent here (have been dealing with it for 20 years). I find MOST restaurants do not accommodate food allergies. Ones that do are the exception. Not surprised to hear.
This. Most places are terrible. Others say they can accommodate an allergy but have no idea what they are doing, which is more dangerous. It is the rare restaurant that takes food allergies seriously.

As someone with a true dairy allergy, it can be tough to find places that offer salads without cheese. Never had a problem anywhere else asking for no cheese on a salad. Seems like a weird policy.

The Fatoush salad looks safe. And I’m on their menu now for the West End location and many bfast sandwiches have an option to check “no cheese”.

I had a similar Tatte experience. I’m diabetic and don’t eat white bread. I asked for a slice of wheat bread with my salad, which they used on sandwiches so I know they have sliced wheat bread, and they refused. Yes, it was somewhat of an annoying request, but they were dicks about it and I was pretty pissed. And of course I can go elsewhere, but it’s still fine to complain and be annoyed at how stubborn they are!
