Felicity is really close to Felicia, which is a terrible name. Fizz/Fizzy and Flick are cute nicknames, though.

Character from an Australian soap opera - Neighbors or Home and Away. They nicknamed her Flick.

Great name, great meaning.
Loved the show.

Never. Felice maybe.

I think it’s nice - better than Mabel, Theodora, Beatrice, and other old lady names.

What do you mean by “a real name”?

Don’t like it.

Makes me think of Kerri Russell and the terrible show she was on of that name.

Not a fan of names after feelings or attributes either, i.e. Joy, Patience, Charity, Mercy, etc.

If it works for you, go for it.

I considered it as a middle name because of the meaning.

I liked Felice or Felicia better (didn’t wind up using either in the end)

I have always loved this name but married someone with a last name that begins with F. Off the table for me. Use it!

I definitely think of American girl doll or the tv show but agree that's probably a millennial thing.

The name feels very much like a horse girl name- which isn't bad.

It was on my list until DH said nope

We almost used it, but I’ll say the big thing that held us back was the nickname. Felicity is a little long to expect people to use the whole thing indefinitely. And we didn’t like “Lissa” or “Lissy” or any other nicknames we could find/think of. So that’s one thing to consider.

I feel like something could arise organically. Liss? Fifi? But honestly, lots and lots of kids now never use nicknames.

That was also my first thought

Yep, American Girl. But maybe only Millennials will have that association. The doll is no longer for sale.

I know two baby Felicitys. So it is hardly underused but I like it.
