First - congrats to your daughter for making the JV cheer squad. That is great. While it doesn’t seem great now, this has worked out really well for her. She will be able to expand her friend circle and will have a blast. If she wants to make varsity next year, she needs to work on her tumbling skills. Think flips, back handsprings - stuff like that. You can sign her up for lessons at a gym/studio. If she really likes cheer, she can do it year round on a team.

You need to help her turn this into a positive experience.

At our high school if you can’t tumble- you will never make varsity

Same at ours. Back handspring is the minimum requirement and plenty have more than that.
