Smart to get out. Go north(NJ,NY, MA)-better schools and funding. This area is horrible for education.

Do a Redfin search for 8/10 schools (excl unrated) and houses max 500k. Looks like Pasadena, Md, Lancaster, pa, parts of upstate ny would work. Didn’t look much further out.

That’s not true…have a relative in Rochester,NY that pays $15k+ in taxes on a $300k house…while in DC the taxes are only like $12k on a $1.5MM house.

Look at places in Northern/Central NJ like Bridgewater, Hopewell, Clinton, Hillsborough and surrounding communities. The taxes will be higher, so you need to factor that in too.
