I’m OP of the Last Holiday with MIL thread.

This can be a manipulation and control tactic.

My MIL used this excuse for her own mother and demanded we take off work, rearrange our schedules, don’t take a vacation if it conflicted with her mom’s visit. This could be her last visit! (Grandma made it to 86)

My mom had a stroke in 2010. I’m going to demand that she stop pretending she can’t walk, bathe herself, dress herself, etc. Enough is enough!
