I have been shopping there since they came to DC. The stores never reeked till yesterday.

Lidl actually has the best feta. It's greek, whole blocks in brine, and it's $4.

Thanks, I will check it out and probably store a few.

Like open sewer in Tenley, really bad. I have never been to a place smelling this bad. Glover park parking lot smelled less intense, but the back of the store where wine and cheese are smelled like sewage too.

Those of us from a younger cohort use sucks. Stinks is rather boomerish.

Sucks is a vestige of the 70s.

I would not necessarily believe "fewer preservatives," if I were you.

Best feta can be found here, but you have to drive to Virginia. https://www.aphroditegreek.com/

Adding insult to injury, I did not get the Greek Feta for my dish. I had to go to Safeway in GT and pay $2 extra for the cheese. The Safeway turns out to be the cleanest and most expensive shop LOL

You are a shitty writer.

All of the grocery stores parking garages in DC smell of the cheap pot that the Instacart folks smoke. Wegmans is the worst.

Sucks is used by many age groups, it’s pretty universal. And cohort?. Stinks is a universal word that means smells which is what he was talking about.

Agree. But fortunately for me, Whole Foods is too corporate to have that incense/herb/unwashed aroma that more legit organic stores have.

I agree that WF has never smelled like one of those hippy stores. Even before Amazon bought it, it was always squeaky clean.

OP, you cannot criticize a supermarket dealing in fresh food on one of the hottest days of the year.
