That's why OP asked for hair salon recommendations, and other posters offered them. With Bristle or Bang, you'll get a great wolf cut, the stylists do these all day long. Only OP can judge whether DD is going to be sensitive about a hairstyle change but I am pleased that most teens I know seem very casual about haircuts so it wouldn't be a big deal in my world.

DP that hasn't posted before in this thread. I have a 14 year old. If she came to me with that request, I would ask that she wait until after school starts to do it (a new cut like this should've been done right after school closed, so that anything disastrous would have time to grow out), because there is high probability that it will go wrong. If she wants it anyway, take a picture to someone whose portfolio contains well done wolf cuts.

lol. No, hardly, but I do have a 16 year old girl with a lot of friends and I observe what they all are doing. Also just recommend waiting on a major change like that until starting a new school - going into freshman year the vibe can change and they suddenly want vastly different hair and clothes after a few weeks. Seen it happen.

Add in how hard it is to get the cut right and I see a lot of tears potentially. And a horrible painful grow out period

People aren’t judging that she wants the cut, only that this type of cut has a high likelihood of going wrong or not looking how the OP’s DD thought it would. OP, checks out the stylists’ instagrams once you have a couple choices narrowed down. I would only pick someone that has a picture of a client they cut with the haircut your DD wants.
