Don’t bother me. When I was growing up, the chief of police lived on our street. I don’t think that I ever really saw him, but I always felt safe with him around.

It entirely depends on the individual's values. Do you end up with a power-hungry racist moron who throws his weight about and gets his cronies to believe his random accusations about you? We're not white, which is why I bring this up. Or do you end up with a normal person, in which case, it would probably be a nice safe location?

We lived next to a motorcycle cop when I was in my teens and twenties. Just the nicest guy! All the kids and parents liked him. I'd meet the person first before jumping to conclusions.

I totally agree with this. Every LEO we have ever lived near has maintained their property inside and out better than 99% of the neighborhood. All have been very nice as well.

I lived in Wheaton for 20 years and there were 2 cops on my street who would park their official cars out front. No hassles. And they were nice people.
