False. It’s an African developer. Africans have a different aesthetic — lets just leave it at that.
I suspected it was not an American who developed the lot. To American eyes these are butt ugly. But the future of the U.S. is with immigrants who think this look is attractive.
Be prepared for more ugly real estate. It's coming. Virginia is getting a lot of these hideous developments.

I suspect a developer offered them more money than they could get listing. The developer is going to make a fortune by subdividing the lots. They know that a SFH, no matter how narrow, is a much easier sell than a duplex, so they built these
Nope — Kimberly Cestari, perhaps the greediest woman in Chevy Chase, had this listing and sold it to a developer friend on the cheap.

They are cheap and hideous. Is that cladding eifs? I didn’t even think that was legal here. They were slapped up for sure. Buyers will be idiots if they get these. Ridiculous developer greed. The neighbors must be outraged.
Apparently not outraged enough to buy the property themselves so they could decide what goes there.
Wow, someone with actual common sense and a good take about density on DCUM? I'd better buy a lottery ticket because this is a rare day!
Yes, those particular buildings are ugly as sin but one developers poor aesthetic sense does not negate the fact that I'll take more density any day. It's too bad they were only able to get zoning approval for two units. A 4 or 6-plex would look even better on that lot!
I will bet my life savings that the person who wrote this lives in a single-family home and drives everywhere.
