Our elementary school has a no hoodie rule (or, rather, you can’t wear the hoods on your head). Didn’t know that until I was informed by my first grader.

Private with uniforms only

Welcome to public. Anything goes! I (a FCPS teacher), once tried to enforce the dress code because a kid's privates were nearly hanging out of the short shorts. The mom said "she looks cute". I will never say anything ever again.

I work with a few male teachers that have said that they’ll never dress code, because they don’t want to be accused of “leering” at the areas in question.

Damn, I'm just going to have to be a parent and tell my kids what to wear to school now!

This actually is it. To quote my kid “we have to cover the private areas.” And wear sneakers to PE. They don’t even change for PE anymore.

They were fairly covered in elementary school and it quickly changed once they got to middle school. The outfits contain less material than my middle aged bathing suit.

Depends on the definition of private areas. You can see them sometimes and I’m not talking about the backside.

None whatsoever.

If there is, they only enforce it in elementary school.

I can guarantee there is no enforced high school dress code because the girls are wearing bras as tops. Literally.

Nope, not even enforced in elementary school. Unless very specific body parts are actually visible nothing is allowed to be said. Had 2 5th grade girls who had on the equivalent of denim bikini bottoms several different times. Admin told the teacher there was nothing admin could say or do because it would be shaming. And if you read the SR&R dress code, they were right.

Yes - for girls, it’s crop tops and Stanley cups.

Other than that pretty much anything goes.

I dunno. I’d venture to guess that “Mske America Great Again” apparel might get you dress coded or any sort of gun manufacturer logo on it or a tshirt that reads “there are two genders” might get you called down to the office with a claim that wearing any of these is not permitted because it makes people feel “unsafe”

But I don’t know that for a fact.
