I voted for McAuliffe and wouldn't consider voting for ANY R at the fed or state level now post-Dobbs, but you're nuts. Parents learned stuff during virtual school that made them realize they didn't actually know what was going on in schools. WTH do you mean "stay in their lane"? What's going on with their kids IS their lane. County-wide school districts that are not responsive to parent input are not helpful.


County level is different though. The county level decisions are mostly about zoning/land use, property taxes, sales taxes, Schools. Virginia is a Dillon law state, so county and city elected officials representatives have no ability to regulate reproductive rights related issues.

Yes, if Winsome Sears wins in 2025, it will probably be due to backlash from school board decisions in Fairfax and Loudoun count.

Really? I'm a moderate Dem and I have a better opinion of Youngkin now because VA is doing pretty well and he hasn't done anything to mess that up. We're not a state in shamble. We just need a steady hand at the wheel so we don't drive off into a ditch.


This. I'm fine with deadlocked state government because I think that Virginia is doing well and we don't need massive legislative packages from either party

No one gives a shit if she's a black woman if her policies are bad for Virginia. Your suggestion that we should overlook those things and vote for her because she's a black woman is cynical and stupid.


The data suggest that the race of candidates matters for elections. Oftentimes, the impact is not enough to change the outcome, but it definitely can change when elections are close enough. Congressional district 4 had the vote share differential where Sears received a be larger share than Youngkin. This congressional district is also the one in Virginia that has a plurality of Black Voters.

Spanberger sucks. She's a neocon who happens to be a Dem. She will be milquetoast enough that the Dems will hemorrhage seats in the legislature during midterms. If you want both parties controlled by Dominion Energy, her boring ass will have that effect.
