A former MVA teacher still hoping to find something that lets you work from home?

You are gross

There's at least a couple teachers that threatened to quit, but there's no sign they went through with it.

You have no idea why they threatened to quit but you automatically assume it's because they want to work from home in their pajamas. Get a life.

They've been pretty clear that's what they want. They're explicitly looking for WFH jobs.

And you have no idea why they may wish to work from home. Just like millions of other remote employees in the country. Try and keep up. It’s 2024z

Then they should quit and get different jobs, rather than continuing to try to make schools worse for their own convenience.

What they do next is none of your business. Why are you so obsessed with people who have absolutely nothing to do with you? It's bizarre.

Agreed, but what they're doing, and attempting to do, within MCPS is my business.

Former MVA people who left MCPS aren't trying to do anything that affects you. They are done with MCPS so nothing they do anymore is your business. Give. It. Up.

You just want to post your oso clever WFH in PJs quips that got old 2 minutes into the pandemic. You're so tired and boring.

Regrettably, I agree. I spent years trying to improve my school. The only time I seemed to make an impact was when I told my principal I was quitting.

No. OP said they were looking for a job in a private school.

If you get a job in a private school, there'll be no consequence to you. States aren't going after people's licenses anymore. If you wish to return to your current district later, there's a remote chance it could hurt you. But again, like others have said, with the teacher shortage, it might not.

This is correct.

Also, don’t assume you’ll want to go back to MCPS. You may find the conditions in private are much better.

I would say teaching is not a respected profession even thougj it should be. Dont be a minion for a corrupt organisation. Its not worth a life of poverty and endless blame for the faults of "descision makers". Let them deal woth the mess they make.

Why do I have a feeling this obsessed poster doesn’t even work, remotely or in person? This is some serious misplaced resentment and just plain weird. I’m not an MCPS teacher but don’t need to be to know they don’t have to make decisions to please you. No matter what they want, that’s their decision. You need to work out your feelings about this with someone who isn’t anonymous.
